The Orchestral Training Course this year was held at Howell's School, Denbigh, from Sunday 24th July to Thursday 28th July. The course consisted of intensive orchestral ensemble playing, and coaching, chamber music coaching and a varied programme of fun sporting activites including sailing and rafting. There was a purpose built sports hall, an outdoor all weather football pitch. The accommodation was in small rooms, and the students were looked after by well qualified pastoral staff.
This year's course was the most sucessful course JOY has ever run. The members were a credit to themselves and the orchestra. Well done to all!
On one day of the course, a professional photographer joined the orchestra and took several hundred photographs, one hundred of which are available on a CD.
